Klamath Basin Water Dispute: Correspondence
Klamath Water Crisis occurred in 2001, after an extreme drought. The Bureau of Reclamation failed to supply water to the local farmers, keeping it in Upper Klamath Lake to protect the habitat of the endangered suckerfish. Collection contains miscellaneous correspondence and documentation on the Klamath Basin Water Crisis of 2001.
Klamath Commandos Scrapbooks
The Klamath Commandos was a private, womens military support organization operating in Klamath Falls, Oregon during World War II. The collection consists of three organizational scrapbooks.
Klamath County Fairgrounds Committees' Records
The Klamath County Fairgrounds and Klamath County Event Center are located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The Fairgrounds host a wide variety of year-round recreational and educational activities. Klamath County Timber Estimates Collection
Historically, timber formed the basis of Klamath County’s economy. Though it contributes to only a small part of the current economy, it still holds historical significance to the community. Collection contains three boxes with ledgers with Klamath County timber estimations.
Klamath Forest Protective Association Records
The Klamath Forest Protective Association is a non-profit representing all private forest landowners in the Klamath-Lake District of Oregon. The collection consists of the organization’s records assembled in 2008 to mark its centennial anniversary.

Klamath Pioneers: Photograph
Captain Oliver Cromwell Applegate was an Oregon-native born in 1845. He helped open the Applegate Trail and edited the Klamath Republican newspaper. The Denny Creek marker commemorates the camping site of pioneer John Fremont during his 2nd journey of exploration (1846). Collection contains paper-framed photograph of Captain Applegate in front of the Denny Creek marker, in color.
Klamath River Commission Records
Nelson Reed was a businessman, civic leader, and philanthropist in the Klamath Basin of Oregon and California. He was appointed chairman of the Oregon Klamath River Commission, the legislative study group that developed the Klamath River Compact with the California Klamath River Commission in 1957. Collection contains a folder with donation records, deeds of gift, and thank you letters from Nelson Reed.
Klamath Yacht Club History, 1947-1999
The Klamath Yacht Club is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Collection consists of a paper on the history of the club, written and donated by Irene M. Currin, a wife of one of the members of the Club.
Francis S. and Patricia L. Landrum Collection
The collection focuses on Modoc Indians and the Modoc War of 1872-1873, John Charles Frémont's Second and Third Expeditions to the American West, and U.S. Supreme Court litigation between California and Nevada about a boundary dispute. Francis S. “Van” Landrum was a businessman, registered engineer and land surveyor in Klamath Falls, Oregon as well as a noted amateur historian and author.
